The rating of IP 67 is achieved mainly by sealing RJ-45 plugs and sockets. There is a unique bayonet coupling nut on the outside of the plug, which is engaged with the socket housing through a simple quarter turn rotation. RJ-45 plug and socket meet the requirements of enhanced category 5, can be installed on site, and can be assembled with jumpers of appropriate length on site. The form of mating engagement can prevent the influence of moisture or direct contact with liquid. In addition, this form can resist the damage caused by vibration to the socket conductor pin by maintaining the relative position of the plug to the socket. Max design adopts materials with strong resistance to chemicals, which has a wider range of operating temperature than traditional connectors. Finally, for high EMI environments, shielded type (SCTP) industrial connectors have both high shielding efficiency and low transmission impedance to protect data signals from horizontal cables to equipment jumpers.

Installation challenges

Implementing and installing ethernet/ip is not without challenges. A common problem is the lack of trained engineers who have both an IT foundation and an understanding of automated control networks. The automation team and it personnel must work together to install and implement an ethernet/ip system. Reasonable network configuration is the second challenge. Once properly installed, ethernet/ip basically does not need maintenance.
